I visited family last month in the land o’ lakes. I even jogged along White Bear Lake where I learned to sail many years ago.

I can’t tell you how many Mylar balloons my crew and I have removed from the sea over the years. We found another pile of them today out in the Straight of San Juan De Fuca right next to a feeding humpback whale. Thinking of buying Mylar balloons for your next party? Please don’t. It’s plastic garbage, and I’m tired of seeing this stuff floating around out in the ocean.

Might head back up to Mt. Baker.
